Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned. (Romans 5:12)
The text before us is about the death of Jacob, the last
patriarch of Israel. There is another message for us, if we understand the
message of death. Sin entered the world and death came by sin. Death spread to
all, because all sin. We each enter life with a bad heart and we develop our
own bad record. Talk of death, experiencing the death of a loved one should
cause anyone to ponder what happens next? Only one answer is true, only One
Savior brings peace in death.
